I've also trashed the Logic 10 plist but that doesn't get rid of them either. There is nothing listed in the Control Surface Preferences. There is nothing listed in the Controller Assignments. How do I manually set up my S90ES as a control surface and delete the other ones that I made by mistake?
I have exhausted all options in Logic X to add my keyboard as a Control Surface. Maybe if it's not on the list then you can't use it but the online help says different. I would appreciate any help,. Thanks Des, I used my S90ES in Logic 9, I could use it to start recording, stop recording, playback etc as well as channel adjustments. The keyboard works fine as I've been playing some software instruments with it via USB.
Backspace won't delete the unwanted control surfaces, also tried with shift, alt and cmd to no avail. Right click and delete does not work either. The control surface icons have an exclamation mark in the top left corner. When I put them there by accident Logic tells you to set them up manually but how exactly? That's different to a "Control Surface", which has a very specific meaning.
Your keyboard won't work as a Control Surface, but you can use it via MIDI, and you can learn various Logic commands to it's buttons and controls. It does for me, here. I've now changed the CS to Port 2 and set up the keyboard as Remote Port 2 and it's working as a control surface. That may remain a mystery and will probably fix itself with a future update. Could you post a screen capture of your Control Surface setup window featuring that pesky control surface?
